The Cogs/Miller Financial top Thetfords behind Thomas’ two hits, 24-0

An impressive effort by Felix Thomas carried The Cogs to a 24-0 win in five innings over Thetfords on Thursday at three.

Thomas blasted two home runs for The Cogs. Thomas went 2-3 in the game with four RBIs and three runs scored. Thomas homered in the first and third innings.

Twenty runs in the first three innings helped The Cogs blow out Thetfords. A two-run single by Mike Webster, a two-run home run by Thomas, and a home run by Jason Carnell during the first inning and a three-run home run by Webster, a three-run home run by Nate Miller, a solo home run by Devon Pruitt, a steal of home by Carnell, and an RBI single by George Nebesnik in the second inning helped The Cogs put some runs on the board early.

The Cogs hit seven home runs in the win. Additional home runs for The Cogs came when Thomas homered in the first and third innings and James Moretti homered in the fifth inning.

Webster got the win for The Cogs. He tossed five innings of shutout ball. Webster struck out two, walked three and gave up three hits.

The Cogs hammered Thetfords pitching as seven hitters had a field day, combining for 16 hits, 19 RBIs and 18 runs scored.
